The Founder

SJJA Lane Cove is the newest home of Sharp Jiu Jitsu Academy, right here on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
The story starts in 2016. Bruno Alves, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and multiple-time World Champion, opened the first SJJA in Crows Nest with one goal: teach world-class Jiu-Jitsu to as many people as possible. It grew into one of the largest and most respected BJJ networks in Australia, with academies across the North Shore and beyond.
SJJA Lane Cove brings that system to your doorstep. Same curriculum, same standards, and the same belt-by-belt path that’s produced national champions and thousands of confident students.
